Skills Motorcycle Academy is based in Dublin and provides 1-2-1 motorcycle training in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare as well as training clinics throughout Ireland.
Skills Motorcycle Academy founder and Chief Instructor is Andy Maslen. Andy was first introduced to the ‘System’ through the RAC/ACU Motorcycle Training scheme which ran in the UK through the 1980’s and went on to spend time working as a motorcycle courier based in London, formed Eurobike (Bike Magazines official Travel Agent back in the 1990’s before sat-nav and the internet!) and spent several years with Motorcycle City (Farnborough) as salesman and sales manager.
In 2012 Andy joined RoSPA IART, an advanced riding group affiliated to Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents and in 2017 became (and remains) IART’s Group Tutor Coordinator. As the GTC Andy is responsible for the training activities of the volunteer tutors and maintaining the teaching and learning standards.
